Kirori Mal College is an institution of academic excellence, established in 1954, that has always successfully maintained its place as one of the finest within the University of Delhi. The College believes in providing students an environment rich in knowledge and supportive of their extracurricular interests. The college encourages a quest for knowledge that is rooted in an ethical understanding of the world that we inhabit and this enthusiasm for learning along with a desire to evolve into socially responsible beings is reflected not only in the academic atmosphere but also visible in the field of extra-curricular activities.

The college has come a long way since its inception 55 years ago. -
Kirori Mal College began as Nirmala College, started by American Jesuits in the wake of Partition. -
The trust founded by Seth Kirori Mal eventually took over the college. -
The college shifted to its present campus on February 1st 1954. The Staff Council comprises the Principal and the entire teaching faculty. It is empowered to frame rules and take decisions on academic (admission, administrative and curricular) and extra-curricular matters of the college, under the general rules set by the University ordinances, statutes and conventions.

The hostel is an integral part of the college family. It has 89 rooms that house about I70 students both from India and abroad. Over the years, the college has built up an impressive array of academic facilities such as a fully computerized library, a state of the art computer centre and an active placement cell. The N.S. Pradhan Memorial Library is one of the most extensive libraries in Delhi University. The college has a well-equipped, state-of-the- art, supervised gym facility for staff and students.
